A place to feel understood.
Welcome to Open House Psychology. We believe therapy works best when it feels human, at every age and every stage of life.
Here, therapy is grounded in genuine connection, thoughtful conversation, and practical support. It is a space to understand what is happening, what matters to you, and what could help you move forward.
Who We Work With
Brenna Buye
Brenna is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) who believes therapy works best when you can relax, be yourself, and feel genuinely understood. Her style is warm, genuine, and flexible, shaped around the person in front of her rather than a set formula. With backgrounds in counselling and education, she brings research-informed support into conversations that feel natural, honest, and meaningful.
Clinical Counsellor and Owner
Open House Psychology was created as an alternative to the traditional clinical environment. Rather than rows of offices, waiting-room traffic, and a space that feels distinctly medical, Open House was intentionally designed to feel private, comfortable, and genuinely lived-in.
We believe the environment around us can influence how safe we feel, how easily we connect, and how willing we are to be ourselves. That means thoughtful lighting, comfortable furniture, room to move, creative materials, familiar comforts, and a space that can adapt to the person in it—not the other way around.
Therapy here might look like sitting down for a conversation, working creatively, moving around the room, using games or hands-on activities, or having Marv join a session when appropriate. There is no expectation that meaningful therapy has to look one particular way.
Whether it is your first appointment or your fiftieth, our hope is that Open House feels less like somewhere you have to go for therapy and more like a place where you can settle in, feel understood, and do meaningful work at your own pace.
